The career of geography need changes in some courses that need to be more update. Many teachers are obsolete in your knowledge and teach with the same presentation every semester, demonstrate your scarcity of compromise with the students. Others teachers, just make class us for obligation, without preoccupation for the formation of the students. What’s more, have courses that I considerate important for the professional development but not be in the curriculum like statistics or politics geography. In general mode, I increase the variety of elective course, because currently are not many diversity and the few that are almost mandatory . Something that I think it is worrying is the lack of proximity to the field of work before the last year of study. There are universities in which as from the second year they begin to send their students to pre practices , which is a great help to realize if you really like what you are studying.

For my summer vacation I would like to travel with a very good friend and visit Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia. We will work through the way north creating crafts, singing at restaurants or juggling in the streets, anything is valid when you have a goal in mind and even better if it’s a trip. All of this will be done on February because in January we will go to the south of Chile, specifically route 9 from Puerto Natales to Usuahia (Tierra del Fuego), we have friends to visit all over the route that are already writing to us and asking when will we start our travel, the goal is pretty ambitious but not impossible. In order to raise money for the first days we will work at a big rock festival called “Woodstaco” at Teno, a small town near Curicó. At Woodstaco we will sell corn with butter or mayonnaise to the hippies that go to that festival, where they all camp and enjoy the music in the outdoors for three days. A couple of years ago, the backpack, tent and my boyfriend have become my best travel companions. Whenever we can, we travel anywhere, but generally to the south. A long weekend, we traveled to the national park “Siete Tazas” with a group of friends. On the way we met a couple who was going to the same place and until the day of today we are friends. The second night of camping, stood the very dark sky (no moon) and began to get very cold. We didn't understand anything, did not know what was going on. In that, we decided to enter a tent all together and play cards. Suddenly began to "rain", I put it in quotes because in reality he was hailing, only that we had not noticed . The truth is that I have not thought by now that i would like to continue studying, even if i would like to continue to do so. On the one hand, the economic barrier is an impediment in this country and with the notes that I have is difficult that I can access a scholarship. Lately I have been exploring social issues associated with the territories. My dream is to go to study in Mexico perhaps something related to indigenous peoples. The most studied by geography are related to the development of large cities, these issues interest me very little and I have a little boring the truth . I am more interested in the topics related to socio-environmental conflicts or in rural areas, also the ones that have to do with indigenous peoples. I would like to be able to make postgraduate studies that give me the tools to be able to be a real contribution to the solution of the conflicts that live day to day. The world of birds, specially the one from Chile it is my favorite. My hobby is to take pictures with my boyfriend of all the diversity of birds species that we came across in our summer trips or when there is time in the weekend. I enjoy watching Loicas, Mirlos, Jilgueros, Zorzales, Pitios and Fio Fios, when we go to my boyfriend’s mother home in San Fernando, we always see a lot of birds on her yard, Zorzales and Golondrinas have their nests on the trees and the Pitenes eat side to side with the chickens that she has on her land. My favorite bird is the Martin Pescador, one i had the chance to take a picture in to the lago de todos los santos in petrohué, it was a magical expirience for me, I had to no more than 2 meters of distance a beautiful Martin Pescador and for at least 20 minutes! One of the things that I love to do when I have free time is watching movies. I like the drama and thriller, that will catch your attention throughout the entire film or who will keep you in suspense the whole time.  The saga of movies around Hannibal, the cannibal, were some of the first films that small vi and that I liked a lot. Quentin Tarantino's films I also like a lot, your way of narrating in disorder or by chapters I find it very interesting and entertaining. When I was younger, I liked to see TV series, but now at the university I have tried to leave them, I became obsessed and ceased to do important things to see series . With the revolution of Netflix, I've seen series that are a little more brief as Narcos and Stranger Things, which have 7 or 8 chapters per season.  The cartoons that I follow are Rick and Morty, I love it. What I have thought about my future job is that I should spend as much time as possible in contact with people and with nature, where I have to travel a lot and get to know different places and realities, with a salary that allows me to travel on vacation and live without frills or amenities, but quiet. My dream is that my work will prove to be a real contribution to society and to contribute to the people of this country while work as geographer (if I title one day haha).  In this job I would like to share a pleasant work environment, with people who seek also to be a contribution and that do not work just for the money. My idea is to work a some years "for someone" or some organization or institution and thus generate capital and start a business of your own away from Santiago, of course. The best holiday I have had up until now, are those that I have lived the last summer . With my boyfriend and one friend we traveled to the Patagonia. First we arrive at Puerto Montt, where we stayed at a friend's house for 5 days. Then  we traveled to the island of Chiloé, where we embarked from Quellón to Puerto Aysén . The barge trip lasted more than 30 hours, but it has been one of the most beautiful I've done. The landscapes and the company was great. When arrive to Puerto Aysen, we went to Coyhaique. There we visited the Piedra del Indio, located on the banks of the Simpson River . Then, we went to Puerto Rio Tranquilo and we visited to Catedrales de Marmol in a boat for the Lake General Carrera. After, we travelled to Cochrane, where we met a couple of friends very friendly. A country that I would like to visit is Mexico. Its great extension, its beautiful landscapes, its people and its rich pre-Columbian culture are the main attractions that call me to visit and, perhaps, to live there for some time. The ruins of the Aztec, Mayan cultures, among others, and to be there, are a dream for me.  Ecosystems such as mangroves and jungles are places that i would love to meet for its rich biodiversity, including the climate so special that allows for the development of these ecosystems. M y dream of knowing this country is increasingly closely thanks to the possibilities offered by the University to be a exchange student at UNAM in Mexico City. Currently my 24 years i see ever closer the possibility to travel and explore, learn and admire the ruins of the beautiful Aztec culture and thus to be able to be filled with new experiences and landscapes.
